Geography Student Wins Annual CSU Student Research Symposium

Antonio Solario, a graduate student in the Geography Department, captured a first place award in the 22nd annual CSU Student Research Competition held at CSU East Bay on Friday, May 2nd. Ten CSUN students competed along with 160 undergraduate and graduate students from 21 of the 23 CSU campuses. The symposium is a forum for CSU students to present their research and creative activities.

Four students from the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences were selected to receive cash awards. Along with Solorio, Nancy Muehllehner, of Marine Biology, was also a first-place winner. Kara Kenton of Kinesiology and Christopher Wild of Chemistry and Biochemistry were selected as second place winners. Northridge along with two other campuses (San Diego State and Long Beach) had the most winners (4).
