Urban Studies Classes Win Academic Excellence Award
(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., April. 26, 2011) -- URBS 460 (Law and Planning) and URBS 490 (field work) both taught by Phyl van Ammers, Professor in the Urban Studies and Planning Department, recently won Academic Excellence Awards from the American Planning Association -- Los Angeles Chapter.
The classes facilitated by Van Ammers studied municipal stairways and public art in the Silver Lake and Echo Park neighborhoods. This year's awards ceremony will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood
