Phi Alpha Theta
Southern California Regional Conference 2017

Saturday, April 8

Phi Alpha Theta is the national honor society for history students and scholars. Founded in 1921, it currently has almost one thousand chapters and half-a-million members. Every year, it holds more than two dozen regional conferences where students present their research and share their interests in history.

This year, the Theta Tau Chapter at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is pleased to host the Southern California Regional Conference. It will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Chaparral Hall and the Orange Grove Bistro on CSUN's campus in the heart of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles.

Membership in Phi Alpha Theta is not required to participate in the conference, but only members are eligible for prizes. We invite undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni, to submit individual papers and panel proposals on any and all historical topics. The submission deadline is Saturday, March 25, 2017.

Early registration is $60 per person. After March 25, the registration fee increases to $75. The fee covers participation in the conference, parking, breakfast, and lunch.
