Research Interests
Three major areas of research activity:
- Human factors techniques applied to interactive media and technology-mediated learning systems, especially for atypical populations and/or distance applications
- User participation in medical information systems to support user-centered health care program design, especially using internet technology to interface with health care providers and systems
- Identifying and validating techniques drawn from video game design to develop highly motivating instructional technology for educational applications.
