Atlantic History Workshop: October 3, 2008, 2-4:00pm, in the Whitsett Room located on the fourth floor of Sierra Hall on the campus of the California State University at Northridge. Award-winning historian and University of Southern California professor, Dr. Peter Mancall, will discuss “How To Do Atlantic History.” The workshop is intended for interested faculty and graduate students only. Professor Mancall will talk about his interpretation of Atlantic History. He will discuss how he has written this history in the past. Questions will be taken throughout the workshop. This interactive, intimate workshop with an internationally recognized scholar will be a rare experience. Do not miss it.
Atlantic History Lecture: "Native Americans and the Atlantic World," October 3, 2008, 7:00-9:30pm, in the Whitsett Room located on the fourth floor of Sierra Hall on the campus of the California State University at Northridge. Award-winning historian and University of Southern California professor, Dr. Peter Mancall, will discuss his research on Native Americans in colonial America. Copies of Dr. Mancall's books will be available for purchase before and after the event.
