Understanding Privilege & Dominance in the Modern Age
Understanding Privilege & Dominance int he Modern Age with Jose Paez, LCSW.

This multimedia presentation will engage participants in an active experiential discussion to define intersectionality, power, and privilege.  We will identify the concept of dysconsciousness: the "uncritical habit of mind (including perceptions, attitudes, assumptions, and beliefs) that justifies inequity and exploitation by accepting the existing order of things as a given;" and develop strategies to maintain accountability and our critical consciousness.
