Procedures

If you’re a graduating senior or a graduate student who is planning to graduate in spring 2014 and attend the 2014 commencement ceremonies, make sure to follow the procedures below.

Eligibility

To become eligible to attend the 2014 commencement ceremonies, students must have completed the following:

  • Successfully filed an application to graduate with the office of Admissions and Records by no later than Friday, March 7, 2014
  • Established a graduation date of fall 2013, spring 2014 or summer 2014

Applying to Graduate

Bachelor’s degree candidates

Seniors must establish their graduation date by submitting the Application for Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma with Admissions and Records. Download the Application for Bachelor's Degree and Diploma, fill out the application and bring it to Admission and Records located on the first floor of Bayramian Hall.

For the 2014 ceremonies, failure to submit your application by March 7, 2014, may result in the inability to attend the commencement ceremonies.

You may inquire with Graduation Evaluations, located in Bayramian Hall 150, should you have any questions concerning this process and to check on the status of your application to graduate at any time.

Master’s degree candidates

Graduating graduate students must establish their graduation date by submitting the Application for Master's Degree and Diploma with Admissions and Records. Download the Application for Master's Degree and Diploma, fill out the application and bring it to Admissions and Records located on the first floor of Bayramian Hall.

For the 2014 ceremonies, failure to submit your application by March 7, 2014, will result in the inability to attend the commencement ceremonies. Students will receive a letter in the mail regarding their graduation check from Research and Graduate Studies.

You may inquire with the Research and Graduate Studies office in University Hall 265 should you have any questions concerning this process and to check on the status of your application to graduate at any time.

Name Verification and Graduation Status

Through the options below, students are responsible for verification of their graduation status diploma information.

Bachelor’s degree candidates

Students will be able to verify their graduation status and diploma information through Undergraduate Degree Services, at which time they can review the spelling of their name and degree information as it would appear on his or her diploma.

The Undergraduate Degree Services office is located in Bayramian Hall 150.

Master’s degree candidates

Students can verify their graduation status through Research and Graduate Studies, at which time they can review the spelling of their name and degree information as it would appear on his or her diploma.

The Research and Graduate Studies office is located in University Hall 265.
