Program Eligibility
Am I eligible to use WorkAbility IV?
There are two criteria that need to be met in order to be eligible for WAIV Services:
- Participants need to be a student or alumnus of CSUN (must have graduated within the past two years) who is registered with CSUN’s Center on Disabilities' Student Services .
- Participants need to be a client of the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.

What will WorkAbility do for me?
WAIV offers Services to eligible clients. These include:
- Individual job search assistance
- Resume and cover letter composition
- Interview preparation
- Internships and volunteer opportunities
- Computer skills evaluation
- Workshops
What is expected from the participants of this project?
All students should understand that both looking for work and improving skills that enhance that goal is an active, doing process.
Participants are expected to:
- Arrive on time for appointments and workshops.
- Have resumes, job vacancy announcements, and other important documents.
- Keep appointments and notify the program in the event of a cancellation.
- Actively search for opportunities in the traditional (newspaper and online postings or employment offices) and hidden (networking) job markets.
- Generate job leads every week.
- Keep WAIV staff and rehabilitation counselor current regarding job placement information.
