(Part One) Creating Accessible Web Applications with ARIA and HTML5
Half Day Workshop
Summary
Expand you knowledge in new accessibility features available in HTML5 and ARIA. The constantly evolving accessibility features in HTML5 specifications are examined, including how to implement ARIA (The W3C's Accessible Rich Internet Applications specification) and many advanced techniques to make complex, interactive, AJAX-driven web applications accessible.

(Part Two) Web Accessibility Evaluation Methodologies and Tools
Half Day Workshop
Summary
Only a human can determine true web accessibility, so understanding the challenges of web accessibility evaluation, its methodologies and techniques is the only way to provide a highly accessible experience.
Examine the strengths and weaknesses of evaluation tools, how these tools can be utilized in the evaluation process, and provide insight into procedures and best practices for conducting user testing with individuals with disabilities.

Unveiling Strategies for Affective Access to Apple Devices
Full Day Workshop
Summary
Learn many of Apple's built-in features designed to make their devices more accessible to the blind and visually impaired. Navigate the countless number of apps that are available in the marketplace as well as the many features provided off the shelf. Participants will be given hands-on experience using this technology from the perspectives of low vision and blind users. To achieve maximum benefits from the workshop, participants are encouraged to bring their own iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.

Summary
Welcome to an introduction to the many types of Assistive Technology available to us today. The workshop includes a wide discussion of the variety of technology offered in the conference's Exhibit Hall. This workshop is especially useful to newcomers to the fields of AT and disabilities and those who are first-timers at the CSUN Conference.
