Program Overview

Keynote Address

Mark your calendars for this year's Keynote Address at the Conference which will be held March 20, Tuesday evening, at 5:30 pm. A Welcome Reception will follow the Keynote Address.

Keynote Speaker Daniel Goldstein

We are pleased to announce that Daniel Goldstein, an attorney who has been involved in the field of disability rights for almost 35 years, will be our Keynote Speaker. Mr. Goldstein's entry into this field began at the behest of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB). Beginning in 2000, he reached agreements on their behalf with AOL, Amazon, Target, eBay, Ticketmaster, Travelocity, H&R Block, and Scribd to make their websites accessible, as well as an order directing the Ohio Secretary of State to make its election website accessible. Mr. Goldstein has also secured court judgments requiring accessible voting machines and accessible online absentee ballot marking tools, as well as agreements requiring accessible health care kiosks, ATMs, and automated ordering devices at restaurants

In 2011, Mr. Goldstein and Marc Maurer, then President of the NFB, were awarded the Paul Hearne Award for Disability Rights Advocacy by the American Bar Association. This award is presented each year to an individual who has made significant contributions to further the rights, dignity, and access to justice for people with disabilities.

Daniel Goldstein's impressive career in disability rights, along with his extensive successful judgements, will surely be an address that will interest all of our attendees.

Please join us in the Seaport Ballroom on Tuesday, March 20th as we commence the 33rd CSUN Assistive Technology Conference.
