Conference Fees

Attendees

  • Attendee Registration Opens Tuesday, December 13, 2016
  • Early Bird: $460 (ends Wednesday, January 11, 2017)
  • Regular: $515 (ends Wednesday, February 8, 2017)
  • Late & On-Site: $555

Cancellation Request must be made in writing and received by Tuesday, February 7, 2017. A $60 processing fee will be assessed. There will be no refunds after Tuesday, February 7, 2017. All no-shows will be charged the full amount.

Speakers must register by Thursday, January 5, 2017 – there will be no on-site speaker registration.

Administrative Processing Fee

Changes unrelated to initial registration and cancellation may be subject to a $30.00 Administrative Processing Fee. To mitigate the fee please make sure persons being registered are correct, the type of registration is correct (speaker, attendee, exhibitor, etc.) and that the payment method used is correct.

Badge Replacement

The CSUN Assistive Technology Conference (CSUN AT Conference) urges you to treat your conference badge the same as the cash value of your registration. The CSUN AT Conference will replace a lost or stolen conference badge only once for a fee $25.00 (USD). For additional lost or stolen conference badges the full conference fee will be charged to replace your conference badge.

Personal Care Attendant

Personal Care Attendants are permitted to attend any session, event, or function with the registered participant they are assisting. Personal Care Attendants may not attend any conference activities without the registered participant they are assisting. Failure to comply with this policy may result in the expulsion of the Personal Care Attendant and registered participant from the conference.

Discounts & Scholarships

General Discounts

Discounts should be requested 72 hours prior to beginning your registration. Discount codes must be entered at the begginging of the registration process. Discounts are applied to full conference registration fee only unless otherwise specified. Only one discount may be applied (no stacking). Discounts are not valid for Pre-Conference Workshops.

Discounts cannot be applied after completing registration. Please review the Discounts & Scholarship options and request any qualifying discount 72 hours prior to registering.

Student Discounts

Full-time students are offered a 50% discount code when your class schedule or letter from registrar (showing 12 units or more) and a copy of your school ID are faxed to us at (818) 677-4929 or submitted via email to conference@csun.edu. Please note that this discount may be applied to either attendee or speaker registration fee.

CSU Discounts

CSU Faculty and Staff are offered a 50% discount code when staff ID and work email address are faxed to us at (818) 677-4929 or submitted via email to conference@csun.edu. Please note that this discount may be applied to either attendee or speaker registration fee.

Veterans and Active Military Personnel

Veterans and active military personnel are offered a 50% discount code when military identification or Certificate of Release (DD-214 Copy #4) are faxed to us at (818) 677-4929 or submitted via email to conference@csun.edu. Please note that this discount only applies to attendees and not speakers. The discount applies to full attendee registration only.

K-12 Educators and Administrators

K-12 Educators and Administrators are offered a 25% discount code when proof of employment is faxed to us at (818) 677-4929 or submitted via email to conference@csun.edu. Please note that this discount may be applied to either attendee or speaker registration fee.

Post-Secondary Faculty & Staff

Post-Secondary Faculty & Staff are offered a 25% discount code when proof of employment by at a not-for-profit college, university, or trade school is faxed to us at (818) 677-4929 or submitted via email to conference@csun.edu. Please note that this discount may be applied to either attendee or speaker registration fee.

Government Employees

Government employees (state or federal) are offered a 25% discount code when proof of employment is faxed to us at (818) 677-4929 or submitted via email to conference@csun.edu. Please note that this discount may be applied to either attendee or speaker registration fee.

Scholarships

The deadline for scholarship applications is Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Completion of the application does not guarantee that you will receive a scholarship. All applicants will receive notification of acceptance or denial on or about Monday, January 23, 2017. We regret that many people who are otherwise eligible may not receive scholarships.

International Participants

For our international participants, please make sure you have the proper documentation to travel to the US. If you are uncertain of your particular situation, we strongly suggest that you contact the nearest Embassy or Consulate to obtain the most accurate information.

It is CSUN’s policy not to provide letters of invitation to speakers, presenters and or those who wish to attend the conference.

For exhibitors and special guests requiring a letter of invitation to the conference, please email your request to conference@csun.edu. All requests must be received by Monday, December 21, 2016. Any request made after this date will not be processed.

Please note that due to the large number of participants who attend and contribute to the conference each year, we regret that we are unable to provide any assistance in locating sponsors and booking travel arrangements. Individuals receiving the invitation letters are responsible for their personal expenses such as hotel accommodations, meals, transportation, personal care attendants, etc.

Room Temperature

Temperatures in session rooms vary. For comfort, it is recommended that layered clothing be worn.
