CSUN's First UXathon
Here's your chance to help define what is meant by an accessible web experience at the first CSUN UXathon, hosted by The Paciello Group. The UXathon will take place in two stages, and we are looking for participants to be involved in each stage.
Stage 1: Evaluation study users
In the first stage of the UXathon, we are looking for people who use a range of assistive technologies and input devices, such as keyboards and voice input, to take part in a study evaluating some examples of different types of interactive web content. Each example will be designed with accessibility in mind.
We will use this stage of the UXathon to gather information on how easy to use each example is, and what might be done to improve the design of the examples. We will provide the information gathered in this study to the participants of the second stage of the UXathon, to help them improve the examples.
If you take part in this first stage, you'll be asked to visit the study web site using your preferred assistive technology and, after confirming your consent to take part in the study, follow the instructions provided on the site. You can do this at home, or while you're at CSUN, whatever's most convenient. Any information you share that discloses your identity will not be shared publicly.
Stage 2: Hacking solutions
Second, we are looking for developers and designers to join us the morning of Saturday, March 26 from 9:00 - 12:00 in the Pier Room. The purpose will be to take the feedback we receive during the week and hack solutions. In return, we will provide light snacks. The results will be shared widely and will be available for comment by those who cannot attend the CSUN Conference.
Please express interest by emailing email@example.com with the subject CSUN UXathon. Let us know in which stage you would like to participate (you can participate in both if you like!), so we can send you the right information
We expect lots of interest in the first CSUN UXathon and cannot guarantee space for everyone who signs-up. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
