General Track
This session showcases the successful partnership between the Labor Department’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP)’s ePolicyWorks and the National Council on Disability (NCD) to engage stakeholders in an exercise of ideation to help inform and improve disability policy. The collaboration hosted three online dialogues using an accessible crowdsourcing platform to gather valuable insight about the accessibility of social media and employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the STEM fields. The results of these virtual events have provided ODEP and NCD with innovative ideas, promising practices and insightful feedback that will be used to develop future policies and programs to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.
