This session will provide the knowledge and skills to demonstrate and teach the essential features of the new ZoomText 9.0 Magnifier/ScreenReader. This session is recommended for industry professionals that evaluate, recommend, or teach assistive technology products.

In this session, AT trainers will learn the knowledge and skills required to demonstrate and teach the essential features of ZoomText 9.0 Magnifier/ScreenReader. Each ZoomText feature will be demonstrated with an explanation and examples of how best to present it to the client. This session is recommended for industry professionals that evaluate, recommend, or teach assistive technology products.

Covered topics will include: setup and configuration, primary magnification and screen reading features, using AppReader and DocReader, and working with mainstream applications and the Internet.

The ZoomText presentation cover:

Brief overview of ZoomText 9.0 Magnifier/ScreenReader
How to teach the following ZoomText features:
   o Installing ZoomText
   o Starting and exiting ZoomText
   o Choosing a magnification level
   o Selecting and adjusting zoom windows
   o Selecting and adjusting screen enhancements
   o Using the Freeze tool
   o Enabling and adjusting screen reading
   o General screen reading commands
   o Using Text Reading commands
   o Using AppReader and DocReader
   o Using the Web Finder, Desktop Finder and Text Finder
   o Adjusting the speech synthesizer options
   o Using Configurations and Application Settings
   o Using Help resources
Using ZoomText in mainstream applications and the Internet

This session will conclude with a question and answer session and an opportunity for attendees to receive a free trial of ZoomText 9.0.
