In 2003 T&T Consultancy (Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom) introduced JSay software to the international marketplace. This middleware technology provides an integration of Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech input software with Jaws for Windows voice output software. This integration has introduced a number of innovative user features and provided the blind/low vision computer user with access to continuous speech input/command and control of Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech input software in conjunction with the necessary output information from Jaws for Windows.

JSay Pro provides a hands—free/vision free PC access environment with a range of interactive training and support features, and a full voice user interface to access Jaws for Windows and specialty JSay functionality. In addition, with the inclusion of the JSay Standard keyboard control and JSay Professional users can now use voice or keyboard for Jaws for Windows control.

(www.ngtvoice.com )will provide an introduction to the basic technical underpinnings of this middleware design approach, demonstrate the JSay technology family, discuss specific training strategies and deployment issues, and entertain questions from the audience.
