Study skills are basic tools for learning. They help all students learn how to learn, but students with learning difficulties particularly benefit from study skills instruction. Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh provides a suite of tools to aid in the application of study skills techniques.
Kurzweil 3000 is the premier reading and writing software for struggling students. Because it is also content-independent, teachers in elementary schools. high schools and colleges alike use it to help students succeed in the classroom regardless of their curriculum, or lesson plan.
Educators and independent research have demonstrated that Kurzweil 3000 provides not only the tools students need to improve their reading speed and comprehension, but also features that make it possible for them to learn and study independently. With its unique and powerful study skills tools, students can improve their reading comprehension and retentions with tools that facilitate active reading, including bookmarks, highlighting, annotations, sticky notes, vice notes and extraction of outlines or word lists. With the same tools, teachers can personalize instruction to suit student needs and learning styles.
