Using IntelliTools with Visually Impaired Children

All of the materials presented in this session are available as a
free download on the Washington State School for the Blind web
site: www.wssb.wa.gov. This session will primarily focus on the
four new access packages that have just been created. All of the
software programs listed below are from Edmark. These access
packages are:
- Stories and More: Animal Friends
- Stories and More: Time and Place
- Talking Walls
- Talking Walls: The Stories Continue
The presentation will also cover the following topics:
Using IntelliPics software with visually impaired students having
additional impairments Installing and configuring the following
access packages:
- Bailey’s Book House
- Millie’s Math House
- Sammy’s Science House
- Travel the World with Timmy Deluxe
- Installing and using the basic math facts lessons
- Creating orientation and mobility maps using IntelliPics and
Overlay Maker
- Using alphabetical Braille keyboards with IntelliTalk II
- Using the screen review capabilities of IntelliTalk II for
Windows
- Creating accessible lessons using
IntelliTalk II
