BIGSHOT MAGNIFIER - EYESTRAIN RELIEF FOR EVERYONE

Abstract:
This presentation will introduce BigShot, the first screen
magnifier designed specifically to relieve eyestrain. Using
variable magnification technology, BigShot provides 20 levels of
magnification up to 200%. Unique zooming modes allow you to
magnify the entire screen or just the active window. BigShot
automatically follows program activity, insuring that important
information is always in view.
Although BigShot was designed as a mass-market product, this
seminar will focus on its usage as an accessibility product, for
individuals with mild visual impairments. The capabilities of
BigShot will be compared to more full-featured magnifiers, such
as ZoomText.
This presentation will also discuss Computer Vision Syndrome
(CVS) and how screen magnifiers can help. CVS is a common health
problem that affects nearly 90% of all computer users. Symptoms
include eye irritation, fatigue, headaches, and difficulty
focusing.
The BigShot seminar will cover the following topics in
depth:
- BigShot magnification levels
- Full screen and Active Window zooming
- Intelligent on-screen tracking
- BigShot toolbar and Settings dialog
- Comparison of BigShot and ZoomText
- Computer Vision Syndrome
The presentation will conclude with a question and answer session
as well as an opportunity for attendees to try out the product.
