Dr. Yifei Sun, Professor of Geography, attended the panel discussion on innovation and US-China relationships at Washington D.C. hosted by the FutureTense and New American Foundation on Oct. 12, 2012. "Arms Race vs. Relay Race: What Does Innovation Hold for China?" Attended also included Professor Yasheng Huang from MIT, Dr. Denis Fred Simon (Vice Provost at Arizona State University), and Dr. Adam Segal (Fellow at US Foreign Relation Council). They discussed various issues from the rising China's innovation capabilities, foreign R&D in China, and US-China collaborations in R&D, among others.
