Ma Vie en Rose (Belgium, 1997, Sony Pictures, in French with English subtitles) is the story of Ludovic, a little girl born in a boy's body. For Ludovic, nothing is more natural than to change gender. Initial amusement shifts into a drama of intense reactions from neighbors, friends, and teachers, while Ludovic’s family begins to realize that their child’s desire to be a girl is not just a childish fantasy.
