Dr. Alicia Estrada

Dr. Alicia Estrada is an Assistant Professor in the Central American Studies Program at California State University, Northridge.

I received my BA at UC San Diego with a double major in Creative Writing and English Literature. I did my graduate work at UC Santa Cruz in the Literature department where I focused on Latin American and Latina/o Literatures with an emphasis on Central American cultural productions and Feminist Studies. My research interests are: Contemporary indigenous cultural productions; Orality/Literacy Studies; Testimonial Studies; Diasporic Studies; Contemporary Central American cultural productions; US Central American Literatures; Third World Feminisms; Cross-Border Studies; Intersections of Gender, Ethnicity and Class.
