From the earliest pulp publications to modern masterpieces, science fiction short stories and novels have often functioned as a lens through which we express our sense of wonder, marvel at the possibilities of new technologies, and engage in our wildest imaginings. The Friends of the Oviatt Library invite you to join us at the Orange Grove Bistro for a buffet luncheon and presentation by Alexis O'Neill,best-selling children's author and library advocate, entitled, "Small Books, Big Ideas: A Children’s Author Weighs In."
In an illustrated talk, author Alexis O'Neill will share what it means to write for children and the many hats she wears as an issues-translator, a heart-connector, a missionary for creativity
and a library advocate all in one package. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
