Hiding and Seeking: Faith and Tolerance after the Holocaust
An Orthodox filmmaker is disturbed by the messages of distrust and contempt for non-Jews he hears from fellow Jews. Determined that his ultra-Orthodox sons develop more tolerant attitudes, he insists that they accompany him to Poland to track down the righteous Christian family who saved their grandfather from the Nazis. This award-winning documentary skillfully shows the encounter with the Poles and the journeyâs transformative effect on the entire family. 85 minutes, followed by Q & A with CSUN Jewish Studies faculty. 85 minutes, followed by Q & A with CSUN Jewish Studies faculty.
