Science fiction literature, one of the most popular and entertaining genres in modern fiction, has been read and loved by children and adults for decades. From the earliest pulp publications to modern masterpieces, science fiction short stories and novels have often functioned as a lens through which we express our sense of wonder, marvel at the possibilities of new technologies, and engage in our wildest imaginings. Join us as we celebrate the fantastic and strange in science fiction literature.
Burning Wall Street

The Burning Wall Street installation combine a miniaturized Wall Street replete with matchstick banks and mixed media "occupiers" and the infamous burning bank paintings by artist Alex Schaefer, whose work inspired this project. Organized by Art Education Professor Edie Pistolesi, with 150 students participating in creating this project, Burning Wall Street is dedicated to the "99%".

"A pyscho-social buddy dramedy about two men that grew up in the juvenile justice system who struggle with their past to shed their masks."
This event is scheduled for October 9th, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. in the Whitsett Room, SH 451.
