Science fiction literature, one of the most popular and entertaining genres in modern fiction, has been read and loved by children and adults for decades. From the earliest pulp publications to modern masterpieces, science fiction short stories and novels have often functioned as a lens through which we express our sense of wonder, marvel at the possibilities of new technologies, and engage in our wildest imaginings. Los Angeles Ballet returns to Valley Performing Arts Center with its celebrated production of The Nutcracker. Follow Clara and her Nutcracker to the magical Land of Snow, and to the enchanted Palace of the Dolls where all of Claras favorite companions come to life. Join the thousands of others who have made LABs The Nutcracker a holiday tradition.

Founded in 2004 by Artistic Directors Thordal Christensen and Colleen Neary and Executive Director Julie Whittaker, Los Angeles Ballet is a world-class ballet company known for authentic stagings of the Balanchine repertory, stylistically meticulous classical ballets and world premieres of new contemporary works. LAB will return to Valley Performing Arts Center in the Spring of 2013 with its Balanchine Festival: Balanchine GOLD and Balanchine RED, a two-part series presenting seven of George Balanchines masterworks.
