Valley Performing Arts Center presents Barbara Cook in concert at the Great Hall. A Tony, Grammy and Drama Desk Award-winner and a member of the Theatre Hall of Fame, Cook was Broadway's favorite ingenue and, of late, has been enjoying a career as a concert and recording artist. Throughout her esteemed career, Cook's silverly soprano has retained its pure tone and warm presence, to much critical and popular acclaim. In 2010, at the age of 83, Cook earned a Tony nomination for her performance in Sondheim on Sondheim on Broadway. She has performed with a number of symphony orchestras, in cabaret settings and at such esteemed venues as Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center and London's Royal Albert Hall.
