Grammy Award-winner Bela Fleck is quite possibly the premier banjo player in the world. He has virtually reinvented the image and the sound of the banjo through a remarkable performing and recording career that has taken him all over the musical map and on a range of solo projects and collaborations. This performance with Brooklyn Rider is a match made in heaven. Brooklyn Rider's desire to use the rich medium of the string quartet as a vehicle for communication across a large span of history, geography and genres fuses perfectly with Bela Fleck's inventive imagination.
