Questions and Answers
What should I do BEFORE my advisement session?
Review the First Time Transfer Checklist, Undergraduate Studies.
If you have not submitted all transcripts from the community college(s) and/or universities you have attended, please do so as soon as possible.
Your Degree Progress Report (DPR) will not be accurate until your transcripts have been received and officially evaluated by Admissions and Records. Without an accurate DPR, it can be difficult for CSUN advisors to advise you. To facilitate advisement, it is recommended that students bring an unofficial copy of their transcripts to their advisement session for an informal review of their previous coursework.
Where are the advisement sessions held?
All advisement sessions are held in Juniper Hall. Visitor parking is available in the B5 or B6 parking structure at a cost of $6.00 per day. For a campus map, please click here.
Please be on time. Consider travel time and traffic conditions in the Los Angeles area to make sure you are not late.
Please bring a pen or a pencil with you to advisement.
Please note: seating space is limited to students. Parents and friends are welcome to enjoy the campus and surrounding community while waiting. Advisement duration is approximately two hours.
In order to attend CSUN next semester, you must:
