Scholarships and awards available in the College of Business and Economics recognize students of excellence in terms of academics, community service and life experiences. The College-level scholarships and awards are listed in detail below. Also check with individual academic departments and the campus Financial Aid and Scholarship Department for additional opportunities.

Spring 2013

The deadline to submit Spring 2013 scholarship applications and supporting materials has passed. Decisions will be made in early May.

Dean's Scholarship

Applicants for the Dean's Scholarship should:

  • Have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.5.
  • Have declared a business major at the time of application and during the award year.
  • Have earned overall between 30 units (minimum) and 110 units (maximum) at the time of application.
  • Provide a transcript of academic work (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
  • Provide a brief personal essay.
  • Provide a resume.
  • Provide two letters of recommendation.
  • Submit all application materials electronically through the COBAE Scholarship Moodle site by the posted deadline.

William R. Hosek Achievement Award

Applicants for the William R. Hosek Achievement Award should:

  • Have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.5.
  • Have declared a business major at the time of application and during the award year.
  • Have earned a minimum of 30 units at the time of application.
  • Provide a transcript of academic work (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
  • Provide a brief personal essay.
  • Provide a resume.
  • Provide two letters of recommendation.
  • Submit all application materials electronically through the COBAE Scholarship Moodle site by the posted deadline.

Available to both Undergraduate and Graduate students.

Warner K. Masters Award

Applicants for the Warner K. Masters Award should:

  • Have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.75.
  • Have declared a business major at the time of application and during the award year.
  • Must be a graduating senior at the time of the award (Fall 2012, Spring 2013, or Summer 2013 graduates are eligible for the award).
  • Provide a transcript of academic work (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
  • Provide a brief personal essay.
  • Provide a resume.
  • Provide two letters of recommendation.
  • Submit all application materials electronically through the COBAE Scholarship Moodle site by the posted deadline.

Available to graduating seniors only.
