Advisement Process

 Upper Division Faculty Mentors are available to assist you with your questions about required courses in the major, careers,
professional certification, and/or graduate programs.  Please meet with an Upper Division Faculty Mentor if you meet the following criteria:

If you are a Business major who has completed:

  • 60 or more units

  • Business 302 and Lab

  • Has a 2.0 CSUN and Total GPAs

OR

If you are an Economics major who has completed:

  • 60 or more units

  • all lower division Economics major requirements

  • Has a 2.0 CSUN and Total GPAs

OR

If you have completed 130 or more units and need advisement or plan to apply for graduation

Please note:  Upper Division Faculty Mentors will process all Change of Major Forms for students who have completed 90 or more units.

In order to make career and educational discussions with your Faculty Mentor as productive as possible, please reflect upon your future goals prior to the meeting.

COBAE Student Services Center and EOP Satellite located at JH 2113, will continue to answer questions about graduation, general education, and University and College policies and procedures.

EOP students are required to meet with an advisor at COBAE Student Services Center and EOP Satellite every semester prior to registration. However, they are highly encouraged to also meet with their upper division faculty mentor to obtain information about graduate programs, careers, and professional certification.
