Recruitment for this program is on a worldwide basis. Students come from a wide variety of countries and career backgrounds. These may include: sciences, humanities and technical and engineering fields. Participants have generally attained a high level of professional achievement. They are typically managers or executives with advanced degrees in business disciplines or professionally qualified teachers in business schools.

Supervision of the Doctoral Students

Each DBA candidate is assigned a research-active professor from Grenoble Ecole de Management or from an accredited partner university. The Supervisor brings a broad range of expertise and an international reputation in research on business innovation, technology management and the organisational dimensions of technological change.

Admission Requirements

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should have or expect to hold a Master's degree in management (MBA, MA, MSc or equivalent) or in a related discipline from a recognized institution.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Candidates should also have management experience of at least 3 years pre- or post-Master’s.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

The DBA workshops are conducted in English. Students whose first language is not English or who have not already studied successfully in an English-speaking environment will be required to provide evidence of advanced proficiency in English.

Application

The 2012/2013 program starts in November 2012; applications must be submitted any time before by August 20, 2012 directly to Mrs Joëlle Millery by email or mail.

ACCEPTANCE TO THE PROGRAM WILL BE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING:

  • A complete application
  • An interview with the Program Director (face to face interviews: 7 to10 June 2012 or online interviews) 
  • Interviews in person are preferred, but can also be done exceptionally by telephone. 
  • The final validation by the Admission Board. 
  • We also have a system of rolling application. Full applications received between January and May will be examined within a month.

Required Application Documents (To be uploaded in the Application Database):

  • 2 references sent directly by the referees by email or in a sealed envelope (1 from a business referee, 1 from an academic referee)
  • Certified copies of  transcripts and diplomas* officially translated in English or French
  • A statement of Purpose, in which the applicant states his motivations and how this fits into his long-term career development plan
  • A preliminary Research Proposal, which gives an indication of the applicant’s research interests and proposed area of research as well as any initial research plans.

Tuition Fees

TUITION FOR PART-TIME PROGRAM 2012-2013

The annual tuition for the Grenoble based program is currently 44 000€ (for 4 years) plus 6 000€ per additional year.
