Community Engagement

Students are connected to influential and respected businesses from the very beginning of their undergraduate careers, learning from business leaders throughout SoCal ranging from OPI to Sony Music. Presidents, managing partners, CFOs, and independent business owners make up our faculty and the College Advisory Board, bringing students professional knowledge and expert mentors.   

 

 

A Culture of Diversity

Unique to the campus is its neapolitan diversity. Numerous ethnicities, creeds and backgrounds thrive in CSUN’s enthusiastic culture.  The College has been recognized for its diversity, ranking in the top 25 for master’s level institutions based on the size of its foreign student population.

 

International Opportunities

Students can study abroad at the ICN Business School in Nancy, France and the University of Brighton in England, among other institutions. As well, the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics partners with Grenoble School of Management in Grenoble, France for a student exchange program, and offers a joint-degree program for students at Shanghai Normal University in Shanghai, China.

Community Connections

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics encourages undergraduates to enter the business world early, with over 800 annually employed or interning at major businesses and firms such as 20th Century Fox, NBC Universal, Warner Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and Morgan Stanley.  

Our community takes immense pride in the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics’s business programs and partnerships, which let undergraduates directly engage with businesses in their community. The highly demanded Wells Fargo Center for Small Business and Entrepreneurship lets small and medium-size businesses in the San Fernando Valley take undergraduate student teams as consultants to formulate suggestions to improve the firms’ performances. Meanwhile, students in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, or VITA, assist low-income taxpayers in the valley with their annual tax-return preparations every year.
