Professional Shadowing Program...
This new program gives students the opportunity to shadow a working professional in their field of interest for all, or part of a day. Students have the opportunity to experiment with potential careers, ask the professionals questions, find out what made them successful and, most importantly, foster networking skills. It is easy and rewarding!
So how does this work? A pool of professionals is ready to have honors students shadow them. Professionals will be matched to students based on class standing and major. All students have to do is choose a professional, agree on a date and have a fun day! Some local professionals include a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch, a Senior Associate at KPMG, and a Marketing & Promotions Manager at Radio Disney.
If you are a student looking beyond the here and now and want to participate in this great networking opportunity, or if you are a professional interested in becoming involved, please e-mail the program at csunshadowing@gmail.com.
This program offers "real world" experience that will help place academic studies in perspective. We encourage you to try it out!
Questions? Please check out the Student FAQ page if you are a student or the Professional FAQ page if you are a professional.

"[this program] gave me the chance to get a feel for what a working professional
actually does in my general field of study." -CSUN Student
"I'd suggest for all Accounting/Business major students to go to office tours/job shadowing similar to this one because it really gave me valuable insight into the working environment of a CPA firm and learn more about CPAs from professionals. It was indeed a wonderful experience for me." -CSUN Student
