Professional Development Department
The Professional Development Department’s purpose is to grow our members’
professional network, develop their soft skills, and provide the necessary
guidance in order to give them an edge in their career prospects. Getting the
grades is not enough to get the job. Our department’s two goals are to help our
members outperform their competition in job recruitment and have the necessary
skillset to succeed in a demanding business career.
In order to achieve both of our department’s goals, our members are trained in the art of networking, job interviewing, resume building, personal branding, public speaking, dining etiquette, stress management, and conflict resolution. Our department hosts a variety of events each semester that are focused on developing each particular skillset listed above including resume workshops, mock interviews, and much more.
