About Us

The Business Honors Program

The Business Honors Program (BHP) was founded in 1998 by Dr. Michael Phillips and Dr. Mary Curren, leading professors within CSUN’s College of Business and Economics. The BHP is designed to recognize students who have demonstrated high academic standards and to encourage these students to continue their record of excellence as business majors here at California State University, Northridge. The Business Honors Program offers rigorous courses that emphasize communication, critical reasoning, complex problem solving, and teamwork skills. By graduating from this program, students will not only receive a degree in their business major but also a degree in Business Honors (Business Administration with an option in Honors).

This infomercial was a student-run production. A BUS 302 Gateway Team comprised of business honors students (Tommy Lee, Thanh Nguyen, Imelda Houndonougbo, Hunter Hays, and Spencer Bakst) story-boarded, scripted, filmed and edited this project in one and a half weeks. Though this project was purposed to meet a requirement in a particular class, the CSUN College of Business and Economics is using the infomercial as the front-running media campaign for the Business Honors Program. Our goal is to build upon the success of our alumni and leave a continuing legacy of excellence in this program. We look forward to seeing the effect this infomercial has on high school seniors, incoming transfer students, and all potential CSUN Business Honors students. Enjoy!

A special thank you to Michael Murdock, President of the BHA 2010-2011, for contributing the concluding paragraph of this infomercial.
