An eligible employee is entitled to one (1) Personal Holiday each calendar year which must be used within that year. The scheduling of this holiday shall be by mutual agreement of the employee and the appropriate administrator in accordance with departmental leave time procedures.
As employees of the State, all employees are entitled to 13 paid holidays on the day they are observed unless the employee is in a non-paid status on the holiday or they are required to perform necessary services.
The CSU Bereavement Leave Policy provides paid time off for the purposes of preparing, attending and/or traveling to a funeral for the employee's immediate family or close relative as defined by the employee's current collective bargaining agreements.
The CSU will continue an employee’s salary (excepting student employees) while on jury duty, regardless of the length of service. Employees who are summoned to jury service must report that their employer will pay for unlimited time on a jury.
