Monday, April 9, 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Oviatt 30

  • The Faculty Technology Center, Academic Assessment and the Faculty Development team will discuss “Helping Faculty Develop and Teach Hybrid/Online Courses”. Session will discuss the “Teaching Hybrid/Online” faculty development program at CSUN.

Tuesday, April 10, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Juniper Hall 4117

  • Faculty Development and the Faculty Technology Center will give a Tour of Exemplary Hybrid and Online Courses (possibly re-titled “Giving Students What They Crave: A Tour of Technologies to Engage Today’s Learners”) using high-tech and real faculty.

Tuesday, April 10, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., Whitsett Room

  • Brett Christie, Ph.D., Sonoma State University/CSU System, will discuss OER/Quality and Affordable Learning Solutions and how their use can enhance teaching and learning.

Wednesday, April 11, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., Whitsett Room

  • Cynthia Desrochers, Ph.D., CSUN/CSU System, will discuss Hi-Impact Learning practices, shown to be beneficial for college students from many backgrounds.

Wednesday, April 11, 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., Whitsett Room

  • Brett Christie will profile Teaching and Technology Horizons with the Horizon Report.

Thursday, May 3, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Education 1214

  • Michael Berman, Ph.D., CIO of CSU Channel Islands will speak on emerging technologies and the future of higher education.
