Isaac Simon

This year’s recipient of the Auxiliary Organization Association, Isaac Simon – a junior majoring in Geology – embodies the criterion – and more. Diane Hartjen, a member of the scholarship committee, remarked that there was unanimous agreement that Isaac showed dynamic involvement – having served, in one capacity or another, three of the four auxiliaries – while managing to maintain a 3.4 overall G.P.A.

Natalie Villa-Gomez

Natalie Villa-Gomez

Since 2011, one student in particular has had an indelible, significant influence on the department. Natalie Villa-Gomez first joined the Recycling team as an operation assistant and worked with several other student assistants in the yard. Her primary responsibility was to service the 200 recycling locations.

Jefferson Barstad

Jefferson Barstad

Jefferson Barstad, through his work with AS Outdoor Adventures (OA), has exemplified the profound impact Associated Students can have on a student’s educational experience. Originally from Elk Grove, California, Barstad, a 20-year-old junior majoring in Recreation and Tourism Management, first joined Outdoor Adventures in Fall 2013, where he served as a volunteer observer.
