Los Angeles Intersections

Intersections between cultural roots and individual aesthetic styles distinguish the works of the seven artists in this exhibition. Common to all are the cultural crossroads between Armenian heritage and Los Angeles residency. Tina Bastajian, Seta Injeyan, Joanne Julian, Ani Kupelian, Seta Manoukian, Eileen Shahbazian, and Mahara Sinclaire confront issues of cultural convergence and divergence in painting, drawing and sculpture. Exhibition curated by Caroline Lais-Tufenkian, CSUN Master's Degree recipient in Art History; exhibition essay by CSUN Art History Professor Betty A. Brown.
