This exhibition will feature works from the CSUN Foundation Collection, as well as from other regional museums. Art will include sculptures, paintings, textiles, photographs and personal arts, reflecting the extraordinary range of expression in African art. |

| African Art in the Life Cycle thematically displays works of art that play a significant role in particular phases of life in Africa, including children, adolescence, marriage and parenthood, elderhood and death. The exhibition includes over 200 objects from 14 African nations lent by the CSUN Foundation Collection, the California African American Museum, the Orlando Gallery and private collectors. This exhibition was concieved, planned and executed by CSUN undergraduate and graduate students during the Fall 2004 under the direction of Professor Peri Klemm. The exhibition is cosponsored by the Dept of Pan African Studies, the Religious Studies Dept and the College of the Humanities. | ||
