February 2 - February 20, 2004 Part I Reception: Friday, February 6, 2004 7-9 pm CSU Northridge Art Galleries will be one stop on this worldwide traveling exhibition. From Japan, Australia, the Netherlands, to the United States, over 100 quilts will be on exhibition in two separate installations. While textiles have been a fundamental part of Japanese culture, the technique used in making these quilts is relatively new, utilizing traditional Japanese aesthetics while integrating Western Expressionism. |
