Ravi is the President and CEO of RKS Design. Founded in 1980, RKS Design is a highly diverse firm having incubated companies, created licensed products and, as a design entity, has won numerous design awards for clients ranging from start-ups to the Fortune 15.

Most recently, Ravi was the keynote speaker at the International Design Forum, held in Singapore. And, in 2004, Ravi was bestowed with an honorary doctorate degree from Art Academy University in San Francisco given in honor of his ongoing development of RKS' proprietary design methodology, Psycho-Aesthetics - the fusion of science, experience, and design - as well as his remarkable body of work, which spans over a quarter of a century.

His contributions to the design profession extend to the innovation of the IDSA/BusinessWeek Catalyst award, being named chairperson for the 2004 Industrial Design Excellence Award program, and serving as an advisory board member for the Center for Business and Design. Ravi has also been a key player in the incubation of a multitude of other businesses, including RKS Guitars, and is a licensor of numerous products and design innovations as well as having been named on over 150 patents, U.S. and worldwide.
