Summer Term Registration Appointment and Enrollment

This is a tutorial only. No log in is required.

Introduction

This guide explains how to set your own registration appointment to enroll in summer classes and return to add classes or adjust your schedule. All students may follow these steps to register for summer classes.

Eligible New and Continuing CSUN Students—Create your own appointment to register on a first-to-arrive basis. Then enroll later during the Registration-by-Appointment period.
Visiting Summer Students— Wait to register until the Nonrestrictive and Late Registration periods. Note: Before enrolling, visiting summer students should set up their CSUN account, User ID and Password. See How to Establish Yourself in the System or contact The Tseng College of Extended Learning.

Most CSUN students and visitors, see Summer Session through the Tseng College (Extended Learning).
Special year-round CSUN cohort program students, see the Summer Term Bulletin. Permission numbers are required at all times to add all state-supported classes.

Step 1

Log into myNorthridge at www.csun.edu with your
CSUN User ID and Password.

Step 2

Your myNorthridge home page displays.

In My Checklist under Registration, click the Summer Appt/Enrollment link.

If you are eligible to enroll in summer as a new or continuing CSUN student, SOLAR will automatically issue you the next available registration appointment.
If you are not eligible to enroll in summer as a regular CSUN student, a message will display directing you to register for classes through The Tseng College.

After you've created your summer registration appointment and your time to register arrives, click Summer Appt/Enrollment to add classes.

Return as often as you like during the published registration periods.

If you do not see My Checklist, click the SOLAR Student Center icon in the Quick Links box.

Step 3

You are now in the SOLAR Student Center.

The Summer Appt/Enrollment link displays in the Academics section under Enrollment.

The registration system SOLAR will automatically recognize you as a CSUN student or a visitor.
