FRESHMEN - INTENT TO REGISTER

Introduction

All freshmen who have been admitted to CSUN must indicate whether or not they intend to register for classes in the upcoming fall semester by electronically filing their Intent to Register. Filing your Intent to Register is easy. This guide explains how.

IMPORTANT! File your Intent to Register online before the Fall 2010 deadline of 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010. If you do not file by May 1, you will not be able to enroll in Fall 2010 classes.

Be sure to print the screen that confirms your Intent to Register decision and save a copy for your records.

Step 1

Log into myNorthridge at www.csun.edu with your CSUN User ID and Password.

For a list of browsers and versions, see SOLAR Web Browser Certifications.

Haven’t activated your CSUN account yet? See Information Technology Services.

Step 4

The Intent to Register page displays. Check the appropriate box to accept or decline CSUN’s offer of admission. Then click Submit.

Once you’ve filed your intent, you cannot change your decision electronically. Instead, contact Admissions and Records at (818) 677-3700, Option 2 or admissions.records@csun.edu

That’s it, except…

For the Fall 2010 semester, be sure to:

  1. Ask your high school to send the CSUN Office of Admissions and Records your official transcript showing completion of the final semester of your senior year and verifying graduation date.
  2. Take the EPT and ELM placement tests (or be exempt) on or before June 19, 2010, or you will forfeit the opportunity to enroll at CSUN as a first-time freshman. For test information and online registration, see the CSUN Testing Center.
