November 1 Academic Advisement/First-Time Freshman Registration begins.
November 12 Holiday; all offices closed; no instruction. (Observance: Veterans' Day).
Nov 7 - Dec 9 Registration-by-Appointment.
November 21 Student Services Center closes at 5:00 p.m. (eve of Thanksgiving recess)
November 22 - 23 Thanksgiving Recess; all offices closed; no instruction; no Saturday class on 11/24 (Observances: Thanksgiving Day-Thursday, November 22; Admission Day-Friday, November 23)
November 30 Application filing period begins for Fall 2008 graduation for undergraduates
December 10, 2007-January 21, 2008 Nonrestrictive Registration (no appointment needed)
December 24, 2007-January 1, 2008 Winter Recess; all offices closed; no instruction. January 1 2008-2009 Federal and California Financial Aid Application period begins. Priority consideration given to those who file by March 3, 2008
January 14 First spring Financial Aid payments start this week (weekly thereafter)

January 22 First Official Day of Classes
January 22-February 8 Late Registration (by permission only) and Schedule Adjustment

January 26 Saturday classes begin.
February 8 Last day to Register Late, Add a class, Drop a class, or Change Basis of Grading (end of Week 3).
Last day to qualify for a partial refund due to a drop in unit load below 6.1.
February 29 Deadline for Financial Aid application priority consideration. Deadline to apply for Fall 2008 undergraduate graduation. Deadline to apply for Spring 2008 or Summer 2008 graduation in order to participate in Commencement. Last day to confirm awarding of baccalaureate and master's degrees for students who completed graduation requirements for Fall 2007.
March 3 Deadline for Financial Aid application priority consideration
March 17-22 Spring Recess; no instruction
March 31 Holiday; all offices closed; no instruction (Observance: Cesar Chavez Day)
April 3 Last day to qualify for a prorated refund (60% point).
April 4 Application filing period begins for Spring 2009 and Summer 2009 graduation for undergraduates.
Students who remain enrolled after this date may not need to repay financial aid.
May 9 Last day of formal instruction, except for Saturday classes meeting once weekly.
Deadline for submitting thesis or graduate projects for Spring 2008.
May 10 Last day of formal instruction for Saturday classes.
May 12-17 Final Examinations. 0700 classes will have final exams on Saturday, May 17. Grades are posted online approximately one week after finals.

May 23 Last Day of Spring 2008 Semester.
