First-Time Freshman from inside the U.S. International Students Who Have Been Admitted
Congratulations and welcome to California State University, Northridge!
Form I-20 and SEVIS Record
You will receive a preliminary letter of admission asking you to notify your high school advisor to transfer your SEVIS record to Northridge. Once the record has been transferred, your I-20 will be available for you to pick up from your advisor in our office two to three business days after your prior school releases you in the SEVIS database.
If you prefer that we hold your I-20 for a friend or family member to pick up, please let us know as soon as possible. If no one is available to pick up your I-20, you can mail or carry a self-addressed, pre-paid envelope to the Office of International Admissions. NOTE: We will not release your I-20 to any express mail companies without a self-addressed, pre-paid envelope.
Visa and Immigration Advisement
You will also receive instructions for your online mandatory immigration information session together with your admission letter.
EPT and ELM Placement Tests
You will also receive test date information for the English Placement Test (EPT) and the Entry Level Mathematics Exam (ELM). Please take the placement tests at your earliest convenience.
If you cannot arrange an early test date, you must take these tests at CSU, Northridge on:
- Wednesday, August 21 , 2013 for Fall 2013
- [to be announced] for Spring 2014
