How to Obtain an Unofficial Transcript
Currently registered students may obtain an unofficial transcript on SOLAR:
Log into myNorthridge from the CSUN home page with your CSUN User ID and Password. In the pagelet My Path to Graduation, select Student Center and click Unofficial Transcript.
How to Obtain an Official Transcript
Official transcripts are issued by Admissions and Records within 5 to 10 business days of receiving the student's written request. Any records prior to Spring 1986 may take longer.
For faster service, transcripts may be ordered in person with a Photo ID from the Admissions and Records service center in Bayramian Hall lobby, Room 100.
The written request can be made in the form of a letter or by filling out the Transcript Request form.
Letter requests must include:
- Student’s full name as well as previous names used
- Student’s ID or File number if available
- Date of Birth
- Social Security Number
- Dates of attendance
- Student’s phone number
- Student’s address
- Complete mailing address where transcripts are to be sent
- Any special requests such as “Hold for current grades” or “Hold for degree”
- Student’s signature

Notes:
- Official transcripts are issued in separate, sealed envelopes.
- Only California State University, Northridge coursework will appear on the transcript. Coursework from other institutions must be ordered from those institutions.
- In accordance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), your records will only be released to a third-party with your written consent.
- All outstanding university financial obligations must be cleared and missing grades submitted before your transcript can be released.
