Email is an official means of communication at California State University, Northridge. It is your responsibility as a student to monitor your university Gmail account or miss important information about enrollment status, registration, tuition and other fees, financial aid and more. To forward your CSUN Gmail to another email account, log into Gmail and select Settings. Learn more about CSUN Email.

Establish your CSUN account
- Using the "Activate Your CSUN User ID and Password Today" letter, set up your CSUN account.
- Check your CSUN Gmail regularly for important University messages.
Students in Good Academic Standing
Make sure your CSUN application file is complete.
The items CSUN needs from you include:
- Official college transcripts of new coursework taken after your last enrollment at CSUN
- Provide work-in-progress transcripts if currently taking courses you will transfer to CSUN
- $55 Application Fee or request an application fee waiver for the following academic year:
Fall 2013 / Spring 2014 Application Fee Waiver - If you attended CSUN before 1992 and submitted official transcripts for transfer courses at that time, you must submit new transfer course transcripts.

- Log into myNorthridge at www.csun.edu with your CSUN User ID and Password.
- Locate My Checklist and review your completed and incomplete tasks such as missing transcripts.

Students Disqualified in Last Semester at CSUN
To be eligible for Fall 2013 admission, the requirements below must be completed by the due dates indicated for your student group:
Undergraduate Students:
- Complete the 4 basic subjects (General Education Writing, Mathematics, Critical Thinking and Speech Communication) with a C or better by the end of the spring 2013 semester. No summer 2013 coursework will be considered for admission.
NOTE: You must demonstrate acquired skills or achievements that support a successful return to the University. Such evidence may include successful completion of courses in your degree program at another institution or through the Tseng College with grades that demonstrate the ability to achieve good standing in a reasonable time frame if you are readmitted to CSUN. You are strongly urged to meet with your CSUN academic advisor to discuss readmission requirements.
Undergraduate and Second Bachelor's Students:
- Submit a completed Previously Disqualified Student Questionnaire to Admissions and Records no later than Monday, April 2, 2013.
Graduate and Credential Students:
- Readmission will be determined by the Graduate or Credential program. For details, see Graduate Policies.
All Students:
- Official college transcripts of new coursework taken after last enrollment at CSUN
