 CSUN Athletics Unveils “Rise of the Matadors” Pride Campaign

CSUN President Dianne F. Harrison stood in with the student-athletes in their new gear.On June 2, California State University, Northridge’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has launched a new visual identity that modernizes Matador Athletics and introduces a distinctive, classic and iconic athletic image that reflects the history, current success and future aspirations of the department. CSUN Celebrates Honored Faculty at Yearly ReceptionThe President on stage with three of the honored faculty.

On May 21, the California State University, Northridge community came together to celebrate those faculty members whose stars have shined the brightest and longest at the university’s Honored Faculty Reception. Recognized were those who in 2014 completed their 25th, 30th, 35th and 40th years of service; those being awarded Faculty Emeritus status; and a select few who were singled out for their outstanding achievement at the university. An estimated 9,999 graduates — 7,647 bachelor’s, 2,325 master’s and 27 doctoral degree candidates — made the long walk across the stage in seven separate ceremonies during California State University, Northridge’s commencement proceedings that started May 16 with Honors Convocation and concluded May 22.  Read more about Commencement.
