Alumni Board of Directors
The Board of Directors sets priorities for the association and for on-going interaction between alumni and the University. Meeting quarterly and working through a committee system, the board develops support for the work of alumni, students and faculty, reviews budgets and longer-term strategic plans, and approves program plans for the association. Members serve a three-year term and the board appoints it's own president.
Chapters and Clubs
Special interest alumni chapters and clubs provide Matadors with a chance to broaden their career networks, build lifelong friendships, and give back to their alma mater through service and support. You can join a chapter that best matches your interests or start one of your own. All of our alumni chapters continually search for volunteers to fill leadership roles and committee positions. Volunteer time commitments range from a few hours making phone calls to a year-long commitment as an executive officer. Please note area of chapter interest when you submit your inquiry.
Planning Committees and Advisory Boards
As a CSUN alum you can share your input and expertise to benefit future Matadors on a campus advisory board in your academic college, Intercollegiate Athletics, and other campus committees. Volunteers are also needed to assist in the planning for Homecoming, theatre events, class reunions, career nights or a host of other programs for students and alumni. For a current list of volunteer opportunities in this area, please email us.
